Let’s create mixed media art/collage
It feels awesome to get back to mixed media collaging. Please watch the video on how I did it. This is my first try to do a how to video and I hope you like it.

Happy Halloween everyone! These are so much fun to create. I joined the group willowing and friends on Facebook and they do ATC swap every month. This is my third swap and I am enjoying it because I get to see the works of other crafters and of course checking the mailbox becomes more fun. 😃 If you want to join in the fun check out willowing and friends.
This wall decor is from my kid’s puzzle pieces. The same ones that I used for the magnets. I used scrapbook paper to cover both sides and did some stamping and added distress inks. I also used antique bronze chain to connect each piece and at the end added some paper beads and charms. The height is 16 ½ inches and the squares are 2 x 2 inches. I am so proud of this one because I didn’t thought that I can create something like this from a puzzle piece that I almost throw away. It’s very beautiful in person. I added it to my Etsy shop and available for purchase. The piece is very light and you can hang it anywhere and it’s also a great gift for your friends or love ones especially for Christmas.
New design added on my shop. Please check out https://society6.com/joannajeannecreation .
“Fly Shine Beautiful You”. I watercolored the butterfly and added it on the canvas that I painted using acrylic paints and Posca markers. I also added some cut out flowers, sticks, and cheesecloth to add interest to the piece.
This one is for my daughter’s amazing teacher. I hope she likes it. I used a gift box lid as a canvas to create this mixed media flowers. Instead of throwing the lid might as well put it to good use.
I used grocery paper bags to create some of my journal pages. It’s time to recycle.
