Happy Halloween everyone! These are so much fun to create. I joined the group willowing and friends on Facebook and they do ATC swap every month. This is my third swap and I am enjoying it because I get to see the works of other crafters and of course checking the mailbox becomes more fun. 😃 If you want to join in the fun check out willowing and friends.
This wall decor is from my kid’s puzzle pieces. The same ones that I used for the magnets. I used scrapbook paper to cover both sides and did some stamping and added distress inks. I also used antique bronze chain to connect each piece and at the end added some paper beads and charms. The height is 16 ½ inches and the squares are 2 x 2 inches. I am so proud of this one because I didn’t thought that I can create something like this from a puzzle piece that I almost throw away. It’s very beautiful in person. I added it to my Etsy shop and available for purchase. The piece is very light and you can hang it anywhere and it’s also a great gift for your friends or love ones especially for Christmas.
Created these mixed media magnets using my kid’s puzzle pieces from their barbie toy. I was going to throw them away but decided to altered them. I added glossy accent from Ranger on top to add glossy finished and to protect the art. They turned out nice and added them on my Etsy shop. I think these are great for giveaways, gift for a friend or just display them on your refridgerator for daily inspirations.
New design added on my shop. Please check out https://society6.com/joannajeannecreation .
I am not sure if I overdid it with the spatters. For some reason I am obsessed adding spatters to my paintings 😄. I used micron pen for the outline and shading.
This is my first try using canvas to paint my whimsical face using watercolors and gelatos. I usually paint my faces on watercolor and mixed media papers because it’s much easier to blend the colors. It’s not perfect but I like how this turned out.
My kids love to draw and paint. They will draw characters from video games. My youngest one is only seven years old, and she loves to doodle. One day she asked me, “mommy can you use my drawings for your pattern design”? And I said sure why not. I think the pattern turned out great. My daughter was excited and motivated her to draw more. She is very proud of the tote bag. Please check out https://www.redbubble.com/…/joan…/works/32995208-paper-dolls for more products.
Please check out https://society6.com/joannajeannecreation for more items. I think this is the first watercolor pattern that I created. I used micron pen to outlined the leaves and flowers. It is suppose to be a watercolor practice and it turned out nice and decided why not create a pattern. I am so excited. Love the colors.
I’ve been searching for some things that I can decorate my living room because it lacks colors. I can’t paint the walls because we are only renting so I decided to paint wine bottles to add colors to the room instead. I also hung two paintings that I did so the wall won’t look so boring.
